Hello! I'm so excited about this exchange - I love the female characters of Dragon Age so much :)

I love the idea of Dagna and Scout Harding together. Dwarf girlfriends! They are both adorable and I love them both, so the two of them together is even better. There's a lot of room to play around with them, with cultural differences between lifelong surface dwarf and someone originally from Orzammar. And Dagna's overwhelming enthusiasm is just so much FUN. Harding being dispatched to find materials for Dagna also has a lot of potential mileage! Dagna crafting armor for Harding? Harding giving Dagna presents of things she found out on patrol? Giving each other flowers?
Avexis
Avexis!!! There is so much potential for where you can go with her character after or during or before the events of Dawn of the Seeker. She can talk to animals! I can just see her with a daisy garland in her hair and a lap full of fennecs and rabbits and birds. And then there's the horrible parts where she was forced to drink blood and control dragons. Did Galyan look after her after everything came to an end? Was she sent to another Circle where she met some other characters? (Minaeve! I am totally up for Avexis/Minaeve. I have no idea whether they're actually the same age but I'm willing to pretend if you are!) Was she looked after by Leliana or Justinia? Mothered by Wynne? Befriend Bethany in the Kirkwall Circle? *flings confetti* ANYTHING GOES, I love Avexis and I love Dawn of the Seeker and I want DA fandom to pay more attention to it. I am even up for something unbearably tragic where she's made Tranquil because her talents are seen to be too dangerous. (Which could really tie in with Avexis/Minaeve, since Minaeve puts so much effort into taking care of the Tranquil...)
Isabela/Josephine Montilyet
I love this ship, it is delightful. Isabela is such a charming rogue and she would be so much fun charming the pants off of Josie - she'd probably expect her to be somewhat buttoned up, but judging by the games of Wicked Grace, Josie can give as good as she gets. I would be so down for a highly competitive game of Wicked Grace that culminates in hot makeouts/going to bed together. I would also be down for Josie hiring Bela for some legitimate family trade business and getting relentlessly flirted with. Negotiations for the Inquisition to use Isabela's ships for transport? Briefings for Isabela doing some work for the Inquisition? (Like in DAI Multiplayer, where she can go out in groups to do war table-y tasks.) Isabela sending Josephine frilly underthings by runner?
Tallis/Sera
OKAY JUST LISTEN OKAY. I think this ship has so much potential. They're both super good at getting into and out of places they're not supposed to be, and they both care about helping people, and they could meet accidentally while on various 'jobs', and I think the Qun could appeal to Sera under the right (probably pregame) circumstances - the way Tallis talks about it, somewhere to fit, to know where you belong and the sense of rightness that she's searching for? I think that could appeal to Sera a lot. Not to mention that the Qunari don't have nobles. ALTERNATIVELY, Tallis is clearly struggling with the Qun in Mark Of The Assassin, and I believe there's some canon that says she gets demoted for her actions in MotA and generally punished by the Qun for being an imperfect Viddathari, so Sera convincing her to leave the Qun would also be interesting. (I think there are some papers in Trespasser that refer to Tallis, which could be used as a hook to get Sera's attention on her, especially if she'd heard Hawke mention the hot redhead before?) Or they could just happen to cooperate on a Red Jenny operation! And then FLIRTING and MAKEOUTS. Maybe Tallis ends up with something shiny she has no need for and she gives it to Sera. Maybe things go totally AU and Tallis goes to the Jennies for help with the Heart of the Many and Sera goes through MOTA with her.
Shokrakar
THE VALO-KAS. I love the Valo-Kas so much and I would have killed to get to see them in-game instead of just War Table missions. So, Shokrakar! I am down with any f/f ship for her - Shokrakar/F!Adaar, Shokrakar/Sera, Shokrakar/Harding, Josie, Bela, Dagna, anyone! I would love a backstory kind of thing about one of the operations Adaar can tell Josie about, or the story of why she owed Shokrakar for a broken blade. Or something after Adaar was gone, when they get to fight demons! Or Shokrakar coping with Kaariss's poetry. The Valo-Kas meeting and working with the Bull's Chargers? (Shokrakar/Dalish and/or Skinner?) Shokrakar killing demon like a BADASS.
Or hey if you want to combine prompts, Shokrakar being hired to protect Avexis for some reason and being inundated with flower crowns and baby bunnies. (Shokrakar/Avexis!) (My crackshipping heart can never be stopped.)

I also ship them, but either way, a focus on how close they are and how they can count on the other to always be there for them. Raven accepts Maddie's oddnesses, and Maddie knows that Raven isn't evil. (Please don't have Raven looking down on Maddie for being 'crazy' - I know the show's been doing it sometimes, but I hate it. I want Raven to accept and love everything about Maddie, Riddlish and mad tea parties and all.)
For Kitty and Cerise, I love Kitty's ridiculous obsession with Cerise in the early show. She puts so much effort into trying to fuck things up for Cerise, and I like interpreting it as Kitty being really romantically interested in her but having no idea how to express that - the only way her mother raised her to interact with people was pranks, the most mean-spirited the better. (She could also just really want to be friends with Cerise, if you don't ship it.) That whole ridiculous 'he's only yanking your pigtails because he likes you' thing. Also, imagine Kitty hanging upside down from a tree by her knees to kiss Cerise.
For Courtly and Lizzie, it's obsession again. Courtly is obsessed with getting Lizzie's destiny, but what if she was also obsessed with Lizzie as a person, in a "I don't know if I want to kiss you or BE you" kind of way, and she's just decided it must be wanting to BE her? Villain-y stuff where Courtly captures Lizzie to steal something from her to help her quest to fake being Lizzie? Courtly deciding to disguise herself as someone else and pretend to be friends with Lizzie to find out more about her so she can fake being her more easily, but she ends up actually becoming friends with her and has no idea what her feelings are doing? (Again, gen is okay if you don't ship it, the obsession is the thing for me.)
For Apple and Darling, it's True Love! Darling's mouth-to-mouth woke Apple up in Dragon Games - just like True Love's First Kiss is supposed to do. Just like Daring's kiss didn't. Clearly, this means that Darling is Apple's True Love. How do the girls feel about that? Do they really know eash other yet? Do they want to get engaged right away, or do they want to get to know each other first? Do they want to try that kiss again while they're both awake and not trying to resuscitate the other?
Monster High
Characters:
Group: Twyla & Howleen Wolf
Twyla and Howleen's relationship is really important to me. I ship them, but gen is okay too - just a focus on how important they are to each other. They're such close friends, and they rely on each other really to the exclusion of anyone else most of the time. Twyla's quiet, and Howleen wants to be the center of attention - but at the end of the day, when everyone else is gone, Twyla's always there.

Okay seriously, think about it. Clawdeen has a huge, close-knit, happy family, who are all happy and proud to be werewolves. Cerise needs that kind of influence to help her be less ashamed of her heritage. Ship or gen, either is fine. Werewolves who don't have to be afraid of people hating them for what they are. It hurts my heart how scared Cerise is of people knowing what she is and who her father is. (If you want to include her sister Ramona Badwolf, bonus points!)
Isabela and Josephine would be a delight together. They're both charming rogues, Josie just hides it more. Imagine them playing Wicked Grace. Bela cheats, but Josie wins. Wins Bela's money, Bela's hat, Bela's clothes... Isabela canonically does work for the Inquisition (she's one of the operatives you can play in multiplayer), so it wouldn't be hard to set up the two meeting.

Tentacles! I love tentacles.[This bit is NSFW and the rest of my letter is fluffy so yeah a cut.]Any kind of female tentacle monster is fine, tbh. Animated liquid, plants, octopus-mermaid, demon, eldritch horror... I love them all. Bondage with tentacles, multiple penetration with tentacles (though not with the main focus on anal, please), gagging, oviposition, overstimulation, nipple suction... honestly, knock yourself out. All the f/f tentacles. Consentacles, dubcon, and noncon are all fine. For dubcon and noncon I like the victim to be unwillingly enjoying it - either protesting/struggling all the way through and trying to ignore how good it geels or giving in and cooperating/begging for more because she can't help herself, either is fine.

Did the fire elemental used to be a human too, and the pyromaniac can join her in being elemental fire? Do they dance together? Set off fireworks? I'm so interested by the possibilities!

I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THE MAID OF WINDEMERE. I feel so bad for her, all she wanted was the freedom to control her own life instead of being trapped in an endless cycle of destiny. She asked my Fateless One if she wanted to rule at her side, and I was SO MAD that I couldn't say 'hell yes I will rule with you let's make out'. A focus on the Maid's coming to the decision that she has to rebel against the House of Ballads for good would be great, and so would a story about her getting to actually have a relationship with a female Fateless One. I just want her to be happy T_T

Hi! I'm so excited about this fic exchange! Isn't it such an awesome idea?
I adore fairy tales and folklore indiscriminately and I had the worst time trying to pick out some that I liked best. There aren't any I like best! I love them all! So I just kinda... picked some of the ones I've really enjoyed adaptations of before and feel like have a lot of room to do awesome things with?

I'm less interested in the Little Mermaid herself and way more interested in the Sea Witch. Does she have a choice in what she takes from people as the price for their desires? Does she like her job? Has there only ever been one of her, or is the position passed down? Is she the Baba Yaga of the sea, punishing anyone who irritates her and rewarding those who amuse her, totally unpredictably and varying by her mood? Is she actually evil? (What kind of creature is she? Mermaid, octomaid, something stranger and darker? Is she deep and deep and sharp-edged and bioluminescent?) Basically write me something about the Sea Witch and I will love it. As loose an interpretation as you like, she doesn't have to be like the one in the original at all as long as she's a witch at the bottom of the sea who can grant your heart's desire for a price.

I am happy with this being about anyone in the ballad - or implied in the ballad! What was Tam Lin's life like under the hill? Why did the Fairy Queen pick him? Is he the first she's chosen so? What happened to the others? Does she pick a successor and eat his heart of flesh and leave him with a heart of stone? Did Janet's father's really give her the wood at Carterhaugh? Why did he, if he did, since it's apparently well known that maidens shouldn't go there? Why did Janet choose to go? What happened to previous maidens to spawn the warning? (No rape/noncon please.) Janet is pregnant at the end of the ballad - what happens to that baby? Are the fairies interested in her, for good or for ill? How does Tam Lin do on settling down to married life and fatherhood instead of riding as a fairy knight and roving the wood?

God damnit I restarted my browser without thinking while I was in the middle of editing this and I lost everything I was writing for this one. ARGH. SELF, WHY. Must try to reconstruct. Probably won't be as good. I apologize in advance.
Beauty has a varying number and gender of siblings - feel free to go with any or none. Though I would prefer if they weren't snobby jerkasses, if they exist. Beauty being all taunted and put-upon and accepting it all with a loving cheerful smile like a fairy tale heroine should is kind of frustrating. A very sensible and down-to-earth Beauty who had those stunningly obvious dreams from the Blue Fairy Book version would be fun - someone less dense than that Beauty would surely work it out immediately, right? And then what would happen? (A sensible girl might also keep her promises and not overstay with her family - whether it's a week or three months or a day or something in between - so that he doesn't nearly die.) The Marie de Beaumont version also has Beauty wake the Beast from near-death by pouring water on his head instead of kissing him or weeping on him, which is rather delightful and would bit in well with sensible!Beauty. (I'm picturing someone along the lines of Susan Sto Helit.) And what kind of mosnter is the Beast, anyway?
Bonus round: Cross any of these over with each other if you'd like! Or with other fairy tales/folklore/myths! Are mermaids actually the inhabitants of fallen Atlantis, magically mutated? Is the Sea Witch Baba Yaga's sister? (What would it follow that her house had instead of chicken feet? Fins? Tentacles? Jellyfish tentacles? Hm...) I have no idea! Let me know! :D

YULETIDE!

SO! I did Yuletide for the first time this year! Author reveals just happened (or will have happened by the time I post this, they haven’t yet while I’m writing this, OOO SPOOOKY TIME TRAVEL OOO) so I can finally link the things I wrote in public.
I wrote seven things (totaling 12,761 words) on this, my first Yuletide! In order of when I finished and uploaded them:
- My first/main assignment: Honeyed Afternoon, an Ever After High fic, 5,480 words. I had the worst time coming up with a plot for this but I got help from mesonyx in Yulechat and I like the idea I ended up with! Apple gets shoved along the line of a possible evolution of character (I am being deliberately vague about the main plot point, the title is supposed to be all double meaning-y and appear to mean one thing when you first look at it but actually mean something else when you finish but I have no idea if I succeeded), with help from Raven, Maddie, Cerise, and the voice of her father through the Mirrornet.
- The treat I started before signups were even closed, Always keep your head, for the Wendy Trilogy song cycle (all three songs are on this album freely available to listen to them), 2,013 words. I was bitten by plotbunnies as soon as I read their letter and it is tragic and angsty and I’m really happy with it. Sue comes to Neverland, Sue loves Jill, and Wendy leaves her behind. (OH MY GOD THE PERSON I GAVE THIS TO ALSO WROTE THE WENDY TRILOGY TREAT I GOT)
- Another treat, Between Ghoulfriends, in Monster High, 2,534 words. I read this letter and the prompt was so cute and the person was so excited about it I decided I had to treat them to a gift for it. It was really hard to write, kissing is hard >_< But I think I’m happy with how it came out. Clawdeen and Draculaura practicing kissing; Clawdeen is secretly unrequitedly in love with Draculaura. (I’m so thrilled with how happy this recip was with the fic.) (AHAHA OMG THE RECIP WAS ALSO THE AUTHOR ASSIGNED TO WRITE FOR ME WHO WROTE ME THIS BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM FIC)
- The pinch hit I grabbed, And she ne’er looked home again, also for the Wendy Trilogy, 1,911 words. I saw a letter with Wendy Trilogy in it go out on pinch hits and I had to snag it because I had so much fun writing for Wendy Trilogy the first time. Sue finding her way in Neverland, and around Jill.
- Madness treat, Triumph, for Sleeping Beauty and Tam Lin, 100 word drabble. The prompt was so neat I wanted to do *something* for it. Maleficent is the same as the fairy queen in Tam Lin.
- Madness treat, All That Glitters, for Ever After High again, another 100 word drabble. Just to spread around the EAH love. Maddie and Raven and Apple looking at the stars.
- Madness treat, im hrd hbu?, for Venture Bros, 326 words. Almost didn’t write it, wasn’t sure I could get the canon tone down in text, but Alex encouraged me and it’s tied with Triumph for most popular thing I wrote for Yuletide. Shore Leave texting Al while out on a mission and Brock hassling him about it. With, uh, gratuitous canon-typical violence. (I’m so glad I wrote this, one of the recips said they were in the emergency room for the second time in two days and having a horrible day and getting this brightened it when they really needed something to.)

Oh god! This is my first year ever trying Yuletide! I HOPE I AM DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT. I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO WRITE IN THIS POST. I'm basically reading other people's letters and copying what they're including. I've edited this innumerable times.
Thank you, kind author, for writing me a thing!
This is my AO3 account, for the, uh, limited amount of good that will do you, with the whole five ficsand one bookmark I have I HAVE SOME BOOKMARKS NOW. There doesn't appear to be an option anywhere to list things I've given Kudos, which might be more useful.
The good: I love girls in love, and I love plotless fluff where there is no antagonist or anything really going wrong there's just people getting to be happy for once. HAPPY QUEER PEOPLE (mostly girls), FOREVER. As you may be able to tell from the above bit about tags, I love monster girls of basically any possible variety so if you feel the need to work that in somewhere knock yourself out. Domestic is more than acceptable. I don't really care what's going on in the story, as long as it's going to give me cavities. Smut is fine. BDSM is fine, see below for antipreferences within that. I loooove the Toby Daye books. They're great. I love the setting, I love the different types of fae everywhere. I love the stuff that gets revealed later - May's heritage? SO GREAT. (Aaaah and she can't be party to her family's lives anymore because [spoilers] aaaaah POOR MAI) Jazz not caring if her girlfriend is an omen of death 'in her spare time'? SO VERY GREAT. I love Jazz and May to death. I love how bouncy and chipper and interestingly punky May is. I love that there are Ravenmaids and they have flocks and they're as mischevious as any corvid. CUTE PSYCHOPOMPS IN LOVE. That is what I want. If the psychopomp part actually comes into play, I will be completely delighted, because PSYCHOPOMPS. (This means other people can die and as long as May and Jazz stay reasonably happy I will still count it as fluff. Because they're psychopomps and death is inevitable. I like the word psychopomp almost as much as the concept. Psychopomp.) Reasonably cheerful day in the life of some kind - Jazz with her flock? May meeting the flock? I could have sworn I had read somewhere that this was supposed to end in an OT3, so I was really disappointed when it didn't. It can be while they're in the camp, or later when they're off to war and things. Is Elliot bullying everyone into letting him follow the war-training kids again? Have Luke and Serene given in to the inevitable and lobbied for his inclusion? Is Elliot inconveniently stopping another war that the humans in charge oops were actually trying to cause on purpose?

I am firmly convinced that Raven and Maddie are a Thing. (That must have been so disappointing when Apple got Headmaster Grimm to switch her into Raven's room instead of Maddie.) I adore Maddie. I love her Riddlish and her talking to the narrators and her completely not caring what anyone thinks of her and her out of the blue tea parties. And I think she and Raven have a fabulous dynamic and they are sweet and are definitely in love. Fluffy femslash, please! Oh, and please don't include anyone being a jerk to Maddie about her being 'crazy'. Tea parties, having lunch, studying in the library. Feel free to bring in other characters. I love basically everyone.
